Joke character or not Squirrell Girl Humiliates Dr. Doom!!

Ok ok I know many readers out there think that squirrell girl is nothing more than a big joke made by Marvel on us the readers, and I might even agree with that statement but I for one am laughing my butt off. A girl whose main mutant power is to talk to and for the most part act like a squirrel who is a total unknown to the world teaming up with Iron Man to defeat the likes of one Viktor Von Doom. I think this story was well written about an unknown, underestimated character who has big dreams who if she doesn't give up and keeps having success will eventually make her way into marvel readers hearts. This is one of the very few first appearances that potrays a new heroine who isn't very powerful trying to fufill her dreams of being a real hero. Sure she's no Rogue or Wonder Woman and her problems aren't epic, but neither are her powers. Her taking on people like Dr. Doom is kinda like a high school baseball team taking on the Yankees but every once in a while the underdog wins. It shows that she is good natured and always willing to try to do the right thing without having a class 9 or 10 power, which I think kids should read up on 'cuase not all of us are major league potential and SG shows that you don't have to be that good to do good. And yes I did get a huge laugh when I saw Monkey Joe swimming to shore carrying Doom's face mask which to me helps make comics fun and interesting. It's issues like this one that will always make me come back and read Marvel comics...ok that and the X-men....hey maybe she should join them...she is a mutant after all....
