Abe became a mainstay of the group and achieved legitimacy as a superhero. As he's upgraded his armor, he's changed his name to reflect the version of his armor, currently MACH-X.

In the end, he failed only because his cohorts desired to remain heroes and rebelled against him.
After being bombarded with a massive dose of gamma radiation while saving a young man's life during an experimental bomb testing, Dr. Robert Bruce Banner was transformed into the Incredible Hulk: a green behemoth who is the living personification of rage and pure physical strength.
Heather McNeil took over the leadership of Alpha Flight following the death of her husband Guardian, through the use of his Battle Suit. After her husband was revived and resumed the role of Guardian, Heather became the Vindicator and continued to be a member of Alpha Flight.

Flex, a mutant, is a former member of Alpha Flight. Depowered on M-Day, he was once able to transform his arms into highly durable, malleable sheets of metal which he often formed into metal blades.

Herbert Wyndham is a geneticist from the 1930s who became obsessed with further evolution experiments which he used on himself. Depending on what he hopes to gain from whatever his current experiments are, he has been a force for the greater good, and for his own dark purposes.
