Marvel NOW! Teaser: Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie are "AMATEURS"

Marvel has just released another teaser for an upcoming Marvel NOW! title. Yesterday we saw a teaser for Frank Cho with the word "Savage." Today's teaser involves Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie.

This clearly is dealing with some inexperienced heroes. I'm going to take a guess that we might see some sort of NEW MUTANTS relaunch or something similar. Any ideas?

I think these teasers were put together by Amateurs. Is Marvel just now discovering the art of changing font styles?

i wish they would just bring back the young avengers or even the young x-men team (hellion, surge and all the ones who aren't dead) into a new monthly.

if anything maybe this deals with the brand new mutants being born now?

Well I know Gillen has been doing a great job writing Loki in Journey into Mystery, and from some of the other promotional items I've seen Loki has been teamed up with what looks like Wiccan and another young hero, so I'm leaning towards a Young Avengers type. And if Gillen is writing a series like that with Loki I will definitely pick it up.

Its not a big deal Tony, You have your own life as well as try to manage this site which there is a shopping list of things to do as well as try to score interviews with writers and come up with stuff on podcasts. *Thumbs Up*

But yeah the title looks interesting, Ill definitely read it off of a friend when it comes out or read it off the shelf when im at work.

Kieron Giellen is writting so its going to be on my pull list, ive been reading everything he has put put, he is one of my favorite Marvel writers putting books out right now next to Remender and Hickman.

Top 5 marvel writers:

1. Rick Remender

2. Johnathan Hickman

3. Ed brubaker

4. Greg Ruca

5. Mark Waid.

@Vermoot: no wolverine and the x-men should still be going, it's a new enough series that it doesn't have to be restarted for new readers in Marvel NOW

I would not mind a book focused on the younger X-Men or on the Young Avengers. One other thought that comes to mind is 'Amatures' might refer to a group of unknown people with superpowers. This could be a reference to a group of newly repowered mutants in the aftermath of AvX.

Clearly this is for the new Young Avengers book, or whatever they are going to call it. Which is awesome because with Avengers Academy replaced by Avengers Arena, I needed a new Marvel teen series fix. Also happy that Gillen is onboard because I haven't had a chance to read any of his work yet, and I hear he's good.

Transonic, Helion, Mercury, Rockslide, Anole... they all deserve a chance... and most of them have been sidelined for waaaaay too long...

If there's one thing I hate about Marvel, its that they make too many great characters but never find the right balance to use them all!

@zackattack529: Waid id staying on Daredevil and is also writing Indestructable Hulk. And I know that Hickman is moving over to Avengers. Not sure about the others though.
