The marbled variant cover edition is #10 in the chronological numbering.

This is the "ReMasterworks" second edition. It is slightly different from the first Masterworks edition.

REMASTERED CHANGES: Collects Amazing Spider-Man #20 - 30, and Amazing Spider-Man Annual #2. Amazing Spider-Man Annual #2 shifts into this volume and will feature all 5 pinups, two of which were not included in previous Masterworks editions. The pinups to Amazing Spider-Man #20, 21 and 23 have been associated with the correct issues. Amazing Spider-Man #20 moves into this volume from Vol. 2. Amazing Spider-Man Annual #1 moves out of this volume to Vol. 2. The comic book cover art on the dustjacket is changed from Amazing Spider-Man #21 to Amazing Spider-Man #23

Some brutal slug-fests with very good storytelling. 0

J. Jonah Jameson’s hatred for Spider-Man gets the better of him which leads to his newest plan. He learns about a scientist that has learned how to cause artificial mutations in animals, such as mutating mice to breath under water like fish. Jameson pays him to perform the mutation on Mac Gargan whom volunteers for the operation, and this leads to him becoming the Scorpion.
