The Battle Of P.S. 87  
 
P.S. 87 stands for Public School 87. It is located in New York City, New York, and also happens to be the same school that the Power children attend, also known as the Power Pack. When an Asgardian demon working for the Enchantress seeks vengeance against Illyana Rasputin for banishing her to Limbo following The New Mutants: Special Edition # 1, the young mutant just happens to be shopping in a very public place with fellow New Mutant, Warlock. The Power children feel obligated to aid Magik and Warlock. Soon, the stage is set for an explosive battle on the streets of the city, with Magik leading the attack. 
 
I really enjoyed this story. It is full of little surprises, and the team-up itself is both very unique, and charming. I wouldn't imagine Illyana Rasputin being very maternal, but she does an excellent job of fending for the Power children, in addition to combatting the Enchantress's lackey.  Colleen Doran's artwork is beautiful. Her attention to detail is impeccable. I get lost in all of the intricate line work she creates. Illyana's reaction to her demonic counterpart is priceless. The writing is decent as well, and is especially good for younger readers, as it emphasizes the power of teamwork. 
 
I give Marvel Fanfare # 55 three and a half stars out of five. It's a solid entry, that is definitely worth a read.
