Through out the issue there are your typical things. A bit of each of them in their real lives and what the girls do together when they're not in costume saving lives. Over all, it's a bunch of mid- to late-twenties women sitting around talking about their troubles. Relationships, business moves, any and everything your sisters/mothers/girlfriends do when they're with other women. All talk and no action; I'm thoroughly disappointed. Cover art is good, interior art is lacking. They all look a bit plain.
And what's this? Felicia Hardy gets into an argument with a man named "Thomas" and she grows claws, much like Lady Deathstrike in X-Men 2. Last I checked her powers had gotten wiped out. Very inconsistent.

Let me just start by saying I’m a huge fan of Black cat and that’s why I decided to give this book a shot.
This book basically serves as a mini story to help readers see what these characters have been up to lately and I guess it works .......mostly. There’s this strange guilty feeling that you get from reading this book, it’s that same guilty feeling you get when you are secretly reading a Dolly magazine in the back corner of a Newsagent.......not that I do that.....much....the problem with this, is it may frighten off some or most male (even some Female) readers, whilst leaving the Female and more Intrigued male readers like myself, to plot on through to the end.
And what do you get after this experience? You ask. Well a shallow but strangely entertaining read actually. The book I did feel was a-bit stereotypical, almost too stereotypical; however I’m willing to let this ride for one of two reasons.
1: Maybe some girls are actually like this when boys aren’t around
And or
2: Maybe these characters are just like this in their daily life when not around men anyway.
The cover art of this issue as you can see is very aesthetically pleasing. As for the internal art...it’s all right, definitely not my favourite but it’s not bad and it does have a certain unique flare to it.
So this all boils down to one thing, was it and enjoyable read? And I would have to say yes, by its own merits yes it was. The writing is a little goofy, but it’s a unique reading experience which is very different to the normal comic book fare.
However I’d have to say if you’re not a fan of any of these characters, you’re not really missing out on much if you decide to give this a miss.
