Although they could do a secondary [New] Avengers movie with some characters mentioned above.

The 1989 movie hardly counts does it? Anyway I still think it is a to big a slot to a character like Punisher.

I can't help but think Avengers 3 is too soon, considering 2 won't be released until 2015. I'm thinking maybe they're finally going to give a shot to the two characters most well known that HAVEN'T been featured in the Marvel movieverse. Captain Marvel & Black Panther would make excellent films, and could be eased into Avengers as replacements should any of the other main cast back out.

Ok - if your going to speculate about the dates consider this ...

May generally kicks off the Summer Movie market.

This is not a timeframe set for 1st time out-of-the-box movie of hardly known characters.

You can 100% guarantee that those 2 dates are reserved for "Big Budget" movies that have a proven track record for sales.

You wouldn't set the date during May for a solo movie for any other character other than IRON MAN.

And its safe to say that at least one of those dates includes a Team-driven movie.

Look at the history of release dates for all the solo movies (other than Iron Man) - Hulk, Ghost Rider, Blade, Thor, or even Captain America - They are just "NOT" Summer blockbuster gambles. And if those characters don't warrant a May release date - you certainly - will not see - NOVA, Power Man & Iron Fist, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, or Ant-Man with an initial release date of May.

So why not at least think you speculations through before posting random fandom fantasies?

--- One thing that I think could be speculated about that I don't think I've heard anywhere is - How about a MARVEL TEAM-UP movie (not by that title - which would blow) and not just a Cameo ---

This would allow for the introduction of a lesser known character to share the spotlight with a Mainstream character - which could in-turn lead to a solo film.

CAN WE PLEASE GET A SILVER SURFER SOLO MOVIE????!!!! especially one with Galactus done the right way. A cosmic movie of this caliber could tie into GoTG and avengers also, and help reboot the FF franchise. If Destroyer was used as he is in the heralds history could play into the Asardian/Galactus connection and fit nicely into the Marvel cineamatic universe. Would love to see other heralds like terrax and firelord, and would be great to see.......... Super Skrull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the Runaways and a Cable movie would be interesting choices for movies on the upcoming phases but i wish they release a young avengers flick, even thou they'll need to bring ultron, and Kang as soon as possible for further marvel movies such as an age of ultron one, to which Tom Brevoort seem interested on.

My Guess is Doc Strange, cause he`s popular among comic fans and he has a really bizarre persona that will catch non comic book fans as outta left field. Also I wouldn`t be surprise they make surprise casting for the role.I can really see him being that next franchise. Plus it be wise to do keep him separate from avengers. That way you want overdue the avengers angle

Both of these are fairly obvious. The earlier date will go to Doctor Strange, the latter to Black Panther. They have both been hinted at several times. So that leaves 2 spots for a huge group of potential movies before the Avengers: Inhumans, Thor 3, Cap 3, Hulk 2, Captain Marvel, Guardians 2. Marvel's going to have some ticked off fanboys somewhere no matter what they choose lol.
