Kitty Pryde and Wolverine are in town...and it's time for a game of...tag? Well, what better way for Spider-Man to test his recovery from his recent injuries? It sure beats shopping for clothes with Kitty and Chat, or arguing with Gwen about her romantic entanglements.

Chat arranges a game of tag to see how Peter is holding up after his fight with Bullseye. Kitty and Wolverine join in the game. Pete has fun but they dominate him!

Chat passes along information that the Torinos want to buy off Spider-Man, and of course he refuses. His refusal just makes Berto Torino happy: he's glad to have a challenge.

Carter and Gwen put together a Spider-Man Appreciation Society.

Chat talks with Kitty about being "out" as a mutant. Chat isn't sure how to handle it. Later, Chat, Peter, Carter, and Gwen end up at a mutant rights rally. Pete is unhappy to hear that Gwen is letting Carter cheat off her tests. Peter realizes that some people at the rally are not whom they seem, and alerts Captain Stacy. When he confronts them, they attack. They are thugs, unhappy that mutant thugs now get all the jobs! Pete turns into Spidey and defeats them.
