Mark Millar Teases Next Marvel Project With Steve McNiven

Posted by G-Man (37766 posts) - - Show Bio

The next Marvel project by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven will be called...Nemesis.  No word on who or what it involves just yet.  Marvel should be making an announcement later today (hopefully).  For now, here's the teaser that Millar posted over at Millarworld.

Millar later gave the following clues:

1/ We're doing this for Marvel.

2/ The main character driving this is in the name.

3/ It's going to be awesome and very big indeed.

 Any thoughts?

isn't Nemesis a DC character? Tom Tresser or something?

Hmm... Red, White, & Blue... Maybe Captain America?

Based on clue #2, the main character is called...Nemesis?  I doubt it'd be about this dude:

Holocaust

...who went by the name of Nemesis during Age Of Apocalypse.

Maybe it's the birth of Apoc's kid in this reality.

In line of possibilities, greatest to least.

1. Cap's return (why red, white, and blue font?)
2. A forgotten foe arises to wreak havoc.
3. Dark Reign takes a surprising turn.
4. Marvel is getting back together with EA.

I hope whatever it is that it puts an end to Dark Reign..

OK, with Steve McNiven involved I'm interested (oh that Millar guy, too).  I agree I am so tired of this whole "Dark Reign" thing, its gone on way too long.  I hope this just doesn't drag it out longer.

I doubt that it's Nemesis/Holocaust he doesn't seem like a Millar character....I'm leaning more towards Captain America

I'm doubtful of it as well, it was just wishful thinking on my part.

Nemesis was the name of a member in alfa flight. Their were 3 the last could time travel. So it could be her going back in time to warn that if civil war continues old man Logan will happen, or something like that:

Maybe it's what will bring the Avengers back together? Who knows really, but as long as it's Millar, I'm all for it!

These guys are a good duo.

It's gonna blow big time. Civil War was hated by alomst everybody, Old Man Logan ended horribly, it also proved Mark Millar can't write anymore, this is gonna be bad.

I love McNiven's art! Pretty excited about this project.

Whatever it is it will not be any good cuz Millar is writing it and McNiven will make this book a year late. HOW LONG THE @#@$! did it take for "Old Man Logan" to end? This has suck written all over it. I guarantee this.

Never doubt Mark Millar.  He is the most consistently interesting writer in comics.  Anything he does, I read.  Plain and simple.
