Mark Millar Is Looking For An Artist For A New Project...

...And he wants to make you famous!

This is pretty awesome news, and it looks like a fantastic opportunity for any artists who may be looking to break into the comic industry. Famed writer Mark Millar ( Civil War, Kick-Ass) is looking for some fresh talent for an upcoming, creator-owned project. Millar recently posted about it on his forums and is looking for someone with experience but who has not appeared at either Marvel or DC.

"I'm looking for someone who hasn't appeared at either Marvel or DC before. The more unusual the better in the sense that I want something a little different here," Millar wrote on his messageboard.
"If you're anime, painterly, non-sequential, cartoony or just a traditional superhero artist please post a sample below. Fame and fortune awaits."

The submissions so far have been ridiculous, in a good way! If you are a fan of Millar's and have always dreamt of drawing a comic book then be sure to head to his forums and submit a three page sample of your work for him to see. Good luck! What do you guys think of Millar's unconventional way of seeking out talent?

I think it's pretty cool of him, he's about to make one artist's dream come true. I just wish I could get my shit together and produce on a consistant basis needed for what he's looking for. As it stands I don't have enough faith in what I do at this stage and make it suitable for mass publication.
Props to every one of you out there that submit your work to Mr. Millar, though! :)

Both of you should take a shot, imagine how cool it would be even for him to see or notice your work!

anyone of you should take a shot, regardless of how you rate your
own work. everything is worth trying in life, thats what its for. at the
very least you get experience in submissions, which is just as essential
as having skill itself in an art, as most artists in whatever genre usually
go through attempting hundreds before they get anywhere ez. but of course
no one ever comes to a door to see those who don't bother to ring the bell.
