The Incredible Hulk
is a comic volume from Marvel Publishing that started in 1968
Tales to Astonish was originally one of several anthology comics published by Marvel in the 1960s featuring one-shot monsters in their own tales but overtime the series began to focus more upon some of the anti-heroes still famous to this day such as the Sub-Mariner and The Incredible Hulk. That is why, after a 101 (and ten year) long run, the series changed its name to The Incredible Hulk. Under this new name the series lasted thirty more years until it finally concluded with issue 474. A -1 issue was also published between issue 454 and 455.
Although it started out as Tales to Astonish, this is actually the second volume to be entitled "The Incredible Hulk", the first (The Incredible Hulk) having begun publication six years earlier, although it only lasted six issues. A third Incredible Hulk was made later on as the bridge between Hulk and Incredible Hercules.
