The women known as Marie Hart and Marcy Kane were sent to Earth disguised as Earth beings as part of the Contraxians' galaxy-wide program to find a means to rekindle their sun's dying energies. By genetic manipulation, Marie Hart was able to conceive a child with an Earthman. The child grew up to be the Jack of Hearts. Marcy Kane became a college friend of Peter Parker. They dated at times.
