The Cobra Mantis isn't built for combat operations. It's lightly armored and fast, however, and carries a powerful torpedo capable of rupturing the thickest of hulls. Cobra utilizes the Mantis in maritime operations where stealth and recon are the call words of the day. Typically piloted by the Cobra Morays, a Mantis is the perfect vehicle for obtaining intelligence on underwater activities. It is equipped with a highly articulated gripping arm, which can easily and deftly grab and manipulate underwater obstacles.
The Mantis has a displacement of 3 tons and has a top speed of 58 knots and a range of 325 nautical miles. It's only weaponry is the single short-range anti-ship torpedo.
