Despite numerous overtures from supe-affiliated groups, Manchurian has always declined offers to become a member of any crime-fighting organization. He is an enigmatic figure at times, who clearly aligns himself with the forces of justice yet will not fully integrate into their culture, perhaps as a reaction to his ordeal at the hands of a US government agency.
