HE LIVES!!!!
Magneto
Character » Magneto appears in 5894 issues.
Among the most powerful, recognizable, and infamous mutants to inhabit the planet Earth, Magneto was the X-Men's first major nemesis. Now known as a revolutionist and terrorist, Magneto has fought for the X-Men as many times as he’s been against them.
Ultimate Magneto ( Spoilers!!!)
Is this from UC: X-men 6? It's literally on my lap right now about to be read. This is most exciting news. First they bring back Professor X and now Magneto? It's only a matter of time before Cyclops, Wolverine, and the rest of the Ultimatum deathies are brought back :D
@ArturoCalaKayVee: I don't think it's him because Magneto is one cold bastard. We saw what could've/might've been a change of heart seconds before his execution in Ultimatum, but who knows. Plus, something just seems fishy with the going-on's so far in the latest volume of Ultimate X-Men.
I hope it's not him because thus far, the UM has been pretty good with death permanence. If 1610 is going to be just like 616 why bother? I'd rather see a new character take on Magneto's old role or even have a new Magneto all together (this could be his lost son, secret brother, whoever) as long as Lensherr stays dead.
On a related note I'm not TOTALLY against resurrections. If they brought back some minor characters who died in the ultimatum such as the students from the Academy of Tomorrow who never got much page time to begin with I'd be fine with that. Plus, they all died off page and just appeared deceased on a list. Charles, Eric, Logan, and Scott all clearly died on page.
I'm not sure if I'm happy about them bringing back characters, next thing you know Peter Parker's going to come back and it'll just be the mainstream universe again with no lasting changes to the universe or the characters.
Though, it is possible that Magneto, after the revelation Fury gave him at the end of the Ultimatum that he may actually join the X-Men as a hero, seeing the error of his ways. Be interesting if they flopped things around, seeing as Reed Richards is a bad guy, make Professor X a bad guy and Magneto the good guy. Be a very interesting twist to the story in my opinion.

it could be Joseph, the clone of Magneto
it is not the first time they brought back a character (Gwen Stacy) through cloning in Utimate Marvel.
For Professor X's return, I wouldn't be surpised if he used his telepathy powers to trick everyone to think he's dead.
I'd be okay with this.
Maybe the ultimate x-men are having a skrull invasion? lol
Though considering the revelation that mutants are man-made I wouldn't be surprised if there's a bunch of clones somehow running about
I don't think so ether or Prof X for that matter@Onemoreposter said:
I don't think it's him. Hope not too.
me too
I really hope that it's not actually him. Part of what makes ultimate comics great is that they can take characters in new, different directions. I practically cheered when I found out that they were bringing it back, partially because it's nice to see a x-book which isn't completely dominated by either Cylcops or Wolverine, and where Jean Grey is a decent character in her own right wihtout having to go over the tired Phoenix plotline.
Personally, I think that both Magneto and Xavier are in fact one person- or possibly group of people- who is using their identities to manipulate other characters. For Magneto in particular, I would go with:
a. the Ultimate version of Joseph (either a clone or relative)
b. one of the Xorn brothers, who have appeared recently in the ultimate universe as the leaders of the Inhumans.
c. Mystique/Mastermind- possibly impersonating both Xavier and Magneto.
As for bringing characters back, at least Wolverine can't actually come back because they made a massive thing about how his healing factor would prevent any attempts at ressurection/cloning him.
While I do not like constant revolving doors of death, I can't say I would mind in this case if the dead were brought back to life. Most were killed for shock value and not as part of an organic story. If they used reasonable logic, I can be behind it. Jean making everybody think Scott died with telepathy, or Wolverine living up to the hype of his mutation being "survival" instead of healing, I could live with it. With that said I do hope that the trend is generally that "once dead, stays dead." I also hope Marvel wakes up to Loeb being a hack so this s*!+ does not happen again. The ultimate U is what got me back into comics. Ultimatum and the new status quo is what is making me lean toward buying DC when I visit the book store. Many fans write off the Ultimate universe. I like the lack of decades of continuity. I like the alternate story branches. I like the feeling of it being similar yet different. And I like the fact that 75%+ of the dead stay that way. End rant. Apologies for the lack of paragraphs. Dumb comp.
Bring back every awesome character from Millar's run, and I'll go back to Ultimate X-Men.
But Magneto is a good start.
