The horseman who has risen from the grave to get his revenge has a tattoo on his breast depicting Damballah, the snake god of Voodoo, and he is wearing a shabby confederate uniform. Louis Beaumont is his name and his saber has already drunk the blood of Magico Vento’s spiritual father, by decapitating him. But the head of Lame Horse has been carried away by the spectral murderer, and Magico Vento has to face the obscure power of the Serpent in order to bring peace to the old shaman.
