    Madame Xanadu - Part 2

The artwork in this is very pretty. Although you do see an awful lot of forest...
I didn't actually know what this story was about, so when I picked it up (admittedly starting from the 2nd issue) I was surprised that it was about Camelot, especially as Nimue on the cover looks like a Native American. It was interesting to see the artist's interpretation of each famous character, a;though I found Merlin a tad disappointing. He was the generic bearded wizard looking character we're used to seeing. Far enough we recognise him immediately but it would have been nice to see something a little different.
The thing that interested me the most in this, believe it or not, was Nimue's footwear. I found it fascinating. It somehow attaches itself to the front part of her foot so she looks like she's walking in heels (only without the heel) and when she's walking her leg resembles a horses hoof. It must have been uncomfortable...
