Madame Mirage
Madame Mirage is a comic book character that first appeared in Madame Mirage: First Look #1Created by Paul Dini, Madame Mirage's mission is to take down the bad guys. She has no problem using any means necessary, even if it results in their death.
Origin
Angela Temple and her sister, Harper Temple, were the daughters of one of the first mega-technicians. He was killed by Brown Recluse to save her own skin. After that they started there own tech company. Angela, who was very adventures, met TJ Whitaker, who was working with A.S.I. He was after a powerful device and in order to get it killed Angela and Harper (or so he thought). Harper was actually using Ellison, the devise that TJ wanted. After that Harper wanted revenge, so she updated Ellison and created the Madame Mirage persona that she modeled after her dead sister (with exaggerated measurements). All of the powers that Madame Mirage displayed were provided by the Ellison Device and Harper used it as armor of sorts. Harper wanted to avenge her sister's death, and thought that the best way to do so was to kill her enemies using her sister's image.
However TJ figures out that Harper is alive and sets up a trap and seemingly kills her. Unfortunately for him he does not succeed and Harper extracts her revenge by cutting his head off.
Powers
Aside from being highly attractive, Mirage is also an expert marksman with a pistol. Madame Mirage seemingly has the ability to turn into mist in order to escape dangerous situations and can impersonate almost anyone, so far playing men and women with a variety of different appearances. However, further on the series we discover that she is in fact an image built by Harper through an updated version of the Ellisium project. Harper uses this technology in many different ways: sometimes, she just casts the image of Angela to distract others (that's why Mirage is able to vanish in thin air); occasionally, Harper "wears" the image like an armor; finally, Harper can use a combination of image and force fields, granting Angela's image to be able to pick objects by herself. It's also interesting to notice two things: first, Mirage can take any form she (or Harper) wants, not only Angela's. Second, Mirage is programmed to look and act like Angela, so we frequently see Harper making conversation with her like she is really her sister. Mirage is also aware of what she really is and who she is "impersonating". At some time of the story, she even asks Harper if she still wants to avenge her sister's death.
