I really enjoyed issue #1. I liked the writing and the art. All the mystery surrounding Madame Mirage was intriguing. After reading issue #2, I think I need a little more background.
What exactly can she do? She can change her appearance. She can do a ghost thing. She can fight. She has no problem killing the scum. Her use of changing her appearance is meant to throw off her enemies but it also confused me a little. Maybe that was the point. You weren't sure where she was going to turn up or how she'd get herself out of a sticky situation.
I do want more on her back story. Why is she taking on this war against the "bad guys"? The villain her was some dude named "Mousetrap," but I didn't really care about him since I didn't know much about him.
It was funny when Madame Mirage was trying on different outfits. I wonder, how the heck does she keep her dress from...falling. Doesn't seem the most...efficient crime fighting attire. But she looks good in it. Maybe it's another thing to distract her enemies.
This issue is worth getting, especially if you already got the first issue. You get to see more of Madame Mirage in action. She is a pretty tough cookie. It just seemed to go a little fast. I don't really want to say much more without giving away the story. The solicit for issue #3 seems to promise more information. Good.
