While I'm not usually much into 'femme fatale' stories, this preview of Madame Mirage at least sells me on a closer look into the series.

With the exception of the sleek, sultry Madame Mirage herself, the artwork has a gritty feel that is a refreshing diversion for someone like me, whose re-introduction to comics was to the more vibrant, simpler graphics of Girl Genius and Inverloch. I especially like the side-profile of Mirage's sister.

The story takes place against a post-superpowered world, where the technology to create superheroes and villains has already come and gone. Madame Mirage's business seems to be cleaning up the remaining super-villains. This is an interesting twist.

Overall, this preview sets us up for a promising series.
