    A Hero With Skills

As Mirage goes, in her sister Harper's words, "Kill-Billing" through the ranks of Aggressive Solutions Incorporated, I was struck by how intelligent Mirage's powers are. While all heroes rely on a combination of strength, wits, and tactics, Mirage takes the latter two to great heights. Mirage uses illusions and misdirection in extraordinary ways, even for a superheroine.

While I was worried that the story had jumped the shark with the reveal in episode 3, this issue proved that Dini still has some creative juices left to pour into the tale. As I mentioned, Mirage's powers and her use of those powers are very creative. It will also be interesting to see how the twist at the end of the issue works out.

The villains in this issue were fun, if a bit on the generic side. Even so, given the setting, I suppose it's inevitable and appropriate that some villians would be generic and corny.

All in all, a great read; just make sure you read the first three first.

I shouldn't have been so surprised, we are talking about Paul Dini, the genius who is also a writer for LOST.In t...
