Should M have her own series?

If u were a fan of M from the beginning (generation x, ...) there are A LOT of questions u probably have that haven't been revealed about M!

so who else agrees she should have a series (or a mini) just about her!?!

A mini would be cool, but her character isn't strong enough to command a monthly series.

Emma was boring for the most part...If you don't like Emma that comic isn't going to get you into it.The writing was good but where was the action?

MM doesn't outclass Supergirl or Ms.Marvel...at all.

All it would take is a talented writer and artist and M could have a great series. Her past is enigmatic her personality strong her powers seemingly standard are probably deceptive symptoms of what is her true power. (Mutants usually have a parent power that feats and talents stem from, at least in a perfect world) -the management.:)

i think her attitude can carry her far, and then the way she has powers to back it up, so her story would be completely different from emma frost and ms. marvel a lot of characters have the same powers but its their attitudes that gives them their own series such as wolverine and dayak or whatever his son is called both same powers but attitude changes everything which monet has a lot of

It would have a to a mini, i love M, she is my second favorite character, but there isnt that much about her past that is a mystery, except for the time she spent with her brother and some other family dynamics (like whether her mother was a mutant since Marius was able to feed on her). But these arent things about her, they are about her family. Also, she is very up front about herself and her past so there really isnt much more to learnif you actually read what she says. Also, I think by herself, she would falter, she needs a good cast of characters for her personality to really shine, so it would be pointless to have a mini-series.

About her powers, I have a made up theory that most of the mutants get their powers based on what they need most, (For example rogue cant control her powers because she doesnt want to be touched, it was hinted many times in the past that she was physically abused as a child) M probably had a lot to live up to being the eldest child and as such, had to be perfect, so she received an abundance of powers, rather than just one, because she is supposed to be able to do everything.

depends on which bio or issue you read, its not consistent probably because she was never intended to be a real character by her creators, but if the twins were supposed to be impersonating her exactly, I think at some point they state that as monet, they were the oldest.

ummm, there's alot of mystery in her, and when they look in her history everyone's history has some of their family, just like emma frost mini, the artist could also show when she was turned into penance

I think that would be more of a one shot story, she was a mute captive who was rescued by Gateway and she grew to loathe her brother because he fed on her. There isnt much mystery in that. What other mystery is there? Most everything about her past has been revealed, although some of it is inconsistent, but thats because she was never intended to be a real character. I feel there is more mystery surrounding her siblings when comared to her.

What exactly dont people know about her? I still havent had anyone answer that. I think if she ever does have a one-shot or mini, it will most likely deal with the issues around her brother, because I feel that situation is pretty much unresolved. But that isnt "mystery", thats just an unresolved relationship. I guess I just dont see "mystery" around her.

yea...thats not some unresolved mystery, those are simply people who are uninformed, and the OT was about people who had followed her since Gen. X and still didnt know things about her.

I'm a huge M fan, so I would pick up an M solo series in a minute. I would also recommend it be a mini-series. Here's why:

As stated by others, it would be interesting to flesh out her relationship with her brother a bit. I am a bit muddled by it, though I must confess I've hardly read every issue with them both. I rely heavily on internet synopses.
M strikes me as the kind of character who, even when she's on a team, is entirely alone. Her family is largely absent from her life. What is there to say about her having true and good friendships? Not much. I'd like to see her blossom, if only a little bit, socially.
M is a celebrity (Vanity Fair), so why shouldn't she take full advantage of that.
Someone stated before that M's powers aren't fully realized. Her abilities now seem to stem from something much more broad. I would like to see that examined. (I have my own theories). It's noted on the Comic Vine profile that in X-Men: The End, she displayed telekinesis. How could that tie in? How would it relate to the gestalt forms the St. Croix children can take?
It would HAVE to be better and more original than yet another Wolverine solo story...

Just my thoughts...

When Marius' power manifested he killed their mom, he then had plans to take over the world and invited Monet to join him, but she declined. He then transformed her into Penance and fed off of her while they lived in exile.
Well Monet's Mother is dead, Her brother is a villain who was just defeated by the X-Men, and her twin sisters haven't been seen since Generation X ended. There's only one family member [that we know about] still in Monet's life and that's her father Cartier, whom she is currently on a mission to save. Regarding her friendships, she and Husk were best friends in Generation X, Synch was her first love but he's been dead since the series ended, She accompanied Skin to a dance as an off favor to him, but he's also been dead for a couple years. She and Jubilee shared a bit of a rivalry, mainly to do with Jubes wanting Synch, but he wanted Monet, so she found even more opportunities to condescend whenever possible. Currently in X-Factor she's warm to all of her teammates, but with the exception of Guido, and maybe Jamie and Darwin, she's not super close to any of them.
Her modeling career aside, she's the daughter of an Ambassador, and probably the only remaining heir... hmmmmm.
What's left for her powers to do though? Telepathy, enhanced senses, super strength and speed, flight, invulnerability, there isn't much left for her to do.
