No, I was talking about the huge close-up on her new blue eyes in the newest X-Factor (Where she says "Cortex..."). I just thought it was funny because when I read that issue I immediately thought of this thread.

I hate how in X-Factor she reminded Siryn of how rich she/her family is, and yet, this is what she chooses to wear when she's not working?? I'm so disappointed with her aesthetically.

Have they really substituted her?? Again?? With Elektra, Ms Marvel & Scarlet Witch (to name just a few), you'd think Marvel would be a little tired of switching their female heroes.
The issue wasn't exactly bad, but I disliked the fact that it was sold on Monet even though the real Monet was basically absent. Monet should get a solo arc or a small series, around three issues or so, devoted to her under and X-Factor banner.

I think I'd rather see M in her own mini series away from X-Factor. She's an intellectual psychic power house who doesn't seem to be going anywhere, atm. There's no way li'l miss perfect should by controlled by an outside force :(
Divas is starting next month. There were some inked preview pages on CBR... I'm not hugely impressed with what I've seen so far.
I think everyone in X-Factor, except for maybe Theresa, needs to leave. None of them are growing are going anywhere. Monet should Reboot X-Corp with them and save the world in her own way.

and with the skin and eye colour thing .... My theory is that they are trying to make her look more perfect ... and people see Blonde hair, Blue Eyes and Tanned/Fair skin as a perfect, stereotypical look.

lol I dont think most comic book artist know how to draw those types of clothes because the ones she wears in comics, for being a millionaire, are trashy! (same with emma)
I hope they dont think blonde hair and blue eyes are perfect, because Im a fan of the dark features

Someone must have realized that the "Black girl with blue eyes" thing, is Storm's shtick, so they threw some green into the blue that used to be brown.

Change her back, she was way hotter before, she is one of the top three hottest women in Marvel and they are trying to mess her all up. For Shame Marvel for shame.
I was highly amused by this "whitening" of monet but this has gone too far, I was on Facebook and a new fan told me "dude monet is a tanned french white girl, not black"......... :/

Q: just a quick question, I’ve been an avid Monet st. croix fan since she came out back in the late 90’s. Now I’m enjoying your run on x-factor….1 problem…..Monet has become a white woman? what happened? continuity error, retcon?
if its the colorist he/she needs to be fired because that chick currently in X-factor with the turquoise eyes is a slap in the face to what she was originally!
A: 1) For some reason the colorist made her pale for a while there. So we’ve been progressively making her skin darker and darker and we’re STILL getting complaints from fans asking why she’s white. I’m starting to think we could make her as dark as Storm and people would be complaining.
Q: other question Monet has a mutant brother and two younger mutant sisters any chance they may make an appearance soon?
Monet has alot of baggage and as A fan I’m well past my due date waiting for things to turn around.

@xboy79: I was mostly shocked when he said "they had been making her darker"..............I don't know if he's looked inside x-factor but the girl now has blue/ Turquoise eyes and is even whiter than ever from my perspective (case in point, latest X-factor issue).......unless he just flat out makes her mom white so she's bi-racial he can expect to get ALOT more emails and complaints :P
