    Synopsis

It's after dark and the girls are out looking for a bearwoman. They appear to come up empty handed, although a pack of animals seems to have found the girls. A pack of three-eyed magic foxes jump from the trees and attack April, Jo, Molly, and Mal. The girls do an admirable job fending off the beasts. Ripley then drops from the trees and delivers a resounding punch to one of the eyes of a magic fox. The magic fox disintegrates, leaving an odd gold ring in its place. The girls are all understandably confused. The rest of the magic foxes howl in unison and project a message into the sky: "Beware the kitten holy." The animals then run away. Thoroughly perplexed, the girls decided to head back to camp before their advisor notices them missing. Jo pauses to pick up the odd gold ring.

Back at camp, the girls sneak into their cabin and hope to avoid Jen, their advisor. They fail and try to explain the extraordinary events that warrant them being out of bed. Jen doesn't buy it and marches the girls straight to the camp leader, Rosie. Jen is afraid of waking Rosie, but they find that Rosie is up and making an odd sculpture. The girls mumble a few words of explanation but find that Rosie is not very apt to listening to their excuses. April blurts that they saw a bearwoman and Rosie suddenly gets very interested in the story. Rosie sends Jen out for cocoa and asks the girls to tell her more of the bearwoman.

Jo and April explain that they had seen an old woman outside their cabin that turned into a bear. They then awoke their friends and went in a search for the bearwoman but instead had to fight some foxes. Rosie invites more details about the foxes and the girls explain how they looked and how Ripley saved the day. Molly then timidly asks if Rosie is going to call their parents. Rosie asks the girls to quote the Lumberjanes oath. After they do so, Rosie informs them that they will see some odd things at camp. She sends them off to bed with the instruction to see her at breakfast so that she can give them their "Up All Night" badge. The girls are not sure how to take their evening.
