Marvel has made sure to make him a mainstreamer for years now. Stop making him team character, and get him a damn solo-series!
Luke Cage
Character » Luke Cage appears in 3077 issues.
Luke Cage, wrongly convicted and unjustly imprisoned, was altered in a failed prison experiment that granted him unbreakable skin and superhuman strength. With his street smarts and unending determination to do right, he fights for the common man! He eventually married Jessica Jones and had a daughter with her.
Get him a series, dammit!
He doesn't deserve one. Terrible character
...Wrong.
He has an upcoming TV series, he's obviously going to get one around that (Rocket+Star Lord solo around the release of the GOTG film isn't a coincidence).
This does seem like a possibility. I'd sort of expect a New Defenders team comic too.
Nah, Marvel has more important plans right now.
Why spend time in developing known, old fan-favorites like Cage and Panther when you can introduce to the world the new Captain America, the new female Thor and of course the epitome of creative writing...The Superior Iron Man!
I'm not sure what you mean. Wouldn't they just need to get a creative team in, and it would happen?

I was being sarcastic. Marvel has left characters like Luke and Panther to focus on projects that are the perfect example of shock tactics. Marvel's mighty avengers, the team lead by Luke is now Cap. America and the mighty avengers. Putting characters like Luke who are under-developed fan favorites to the background just because they won't make the social media go "Look how diverse and hip Marvel is". Marvel's policy is very short sighted and devoid of long running character development in exchange for short bursts of publicity.
@shadowswordmaster: I dont know, that's the writers job.
Yeah, right after Black Panther gets one.
He already had a few.
Over the years I've really come around to Luke Cage. I used to hate him. He dresses like a nightclub bouncer and his superpower is he's immune to drive by shootings. But now I'd be game for a Luke Cage ongoing. Between Jessica, Danny and Misty he has a great supporting cast. It would be a good showcase for B and C list Marvel villains as well. I'd totally be into something like that.
@longbowhunter: Maybe i could be kinda like Hawkeye?
@waezi2: I could see that working.

Yeah, an Female Tor, which I, as a Dane, find kinda insulting.
@waezi2: Out of curiousity, are there any other moments in particular about Marvels Thor that you find especially insulting?
@v_scarlotte_rose: Hmm.... not really. Am a little annoyed over him being blood, though.
Then again, this Thor has little to nothing to do with the original myth, so maybe I put too much into it...
