uh yeah if we have to have a luke cage movie than it should be him. Thats kinda why I had a problem with hancock because I thought will smith would be a good luke cage or GL and instead we got this hancock businesses
I would like to see The Rock either play Namor, or....well, no one else, actually,lol. The Rock is african american and Samoan. I always have pictured Cage as a chocolate skinned black male actor. Tyress wouid be able to pull off the movie that I would like to see. In fact, I would rather they make a Heroes For Hire television series that starts off about Luke and Iron Fist, and then introduces more street level characters like Moon Knight and Paladin.
The Old Spice guy to me is more of a Falcon than Luke Cage. Idris Elba-more of a T'Challa, regal person to me.
Whoa Rock as Black Adam, that might actually work, the Rock is a PERFECT pick for many super heroes, but not Cage. Cage has got to be really big, and a lot darker, with more of a street look. Rock is too light, Tyrese is to small/soft, so I am not sure who could play him yet, but these two are not it. I am still leaning towards Terry Crews as Luke Cage, I know he may not be a great actor to some, but I think he is pretty talented, I have seen him in a few different roles, and would like to see him in this kind of role.
Terry Crew would be too old for an origin story. Don't you want a young Carl Lucas who falls to the trappings of the inner-city, gets arrested on false charges, and busts out of jail with brand new powers. I wonder how certain elements of how Luke acquired his powers would be addressed, because the average movie goer will have questions about how ethical is it that the good guy is in jail and VOLUNTEERS for an experiment IN JAIL?!? And the fact that he is black....I mean, especially if this movie happens within The Avengers movie-verse, Luke, IN JAIL, volunteers for this experiment that is a variation of the super soldier serum, it has got to have some sort of nod to the Tuskegee experiments, and things like it that have happened in the past. This video below kind of summarizes how I feel about Luke Cage and what the writers should keep in mind when writing him.
