Lucy dated Jimmy Olsen in her younger, wilder days. Like many other characters on the periphery of a superhero's life, Lucy has had her share of troubles. From mysterious encounters with Bizarro to dangerous encounters with Sleez, Lucy has never had an easy time of it. She was shot by Deathstroke and was controlled by the vampire Baron Ruthven. Recently Lucy has had to fight battles closer to home after marrying Daily Planet reporter Ron Troupe. Lucy has now reconciled with her parents who have come to terms with their racist feeling towards their son-in-law. It was revealed, in Supergirl #40, that the mysterious Superwoman that surfaced during the New Krypton arc was, actually, Lucy Lane.
Death
Lucy Lane was killed during her fight with Supergirl when Kara pulled the gold discs off her costume that kept her Superwoman suit stable. In Supergirl annual she is brought back to life and we are given a back story. Lucy Lane the second daughter in a milatary family always felt over shaddowed by her sister lois. She did not blame Lois for this but her parents Sam and Ella. (Also the marriage to ROn Troupe has been reconned.)
