The 3-part "Paradiso" begins, as thousands pour into Lucifer's newly christened cosmos. Some are curious, others desperate, but all have one thing in common: They've been mysteriously drawn to the Devil's paradise. Meanwhile, on Earth, British schoolgirl-come-hybrid angel Elaine Belloc tests out her wings. And deep in the Nevada desert, the living Tarot deck begins to scheme a nasty plan against its favorite adversary.

A whole new storyline begins as once again The Basanos return to prominence, taking over Jill Presto and making her their slave, the first thing they have her do, resurrect Cestis and send the creature off to kill. Meanwhile in Lucifer's creation, Lucifer welcomes all those who have entered his lands but gives them one law, do not worship anyone or anything, for his punishments will be without mercy. Meanwhile, young Elaine Belloc seems to be living the life of a normal girl once again until her father comes to pick her up from her friend's house and reveals himself to be none other than her assassin, Cestis of the dancing flesh!
