Molly could never get promoted in the NYPD Precinct she was in because she refused to sleep with her superiors. She was assigned to the "Punisher Task Force" with Det. Martin Soap because no one in the department liked them. No one else was in this so called "Task Force".
In a conversation with Soap, she let it be known that she was a lezbian.
Eventually they caught Punisher by pure luck, but decided to let him go when Castle gave them pictures of the mayor and police commissioner they could use to blackmail them.
She was last seen taking a long vacation with the money from the blackmail.
