From the Mojoverse he comes...to star in his own limited series! Longshot's got it all -- leather, looks, and so much luck it's actually he's mutant power. But with his recent arrival to Earth leaving his identity in question, Longshot discovers he's got a long road ahead in uncovering his truest, non-engineered self. Ann Nocenti and Arthur Adams present Longshot!

A man without a past, running from monsters who want him captured. Longshot jumps through a portal and into an un-known world! Will Longshot and his "puppy friend" find who he is?

After running from Mojo's army at Mojoverse, Longshot jumps through a portal into Earth with some of the monster passing after him. They arrive in NY, Longshot with no memories at all. One crazy guy worried about the world pos-nuclear War named Eliot talks to him saying that if he need some help he could go with him. At night Longshot hears a noise and throws his knifes at it, almost hitting a strange little monster. Magog says he is a friend of Longshot and he just want to go back to their home.

Longshot reaches Eliot's shelter and there Eliot explains everything about the War he thinks is coming to destroy the Earth. Longshot read the newspaper that a babe was kidnapped and decide to go after him. An angry mob is after them blaming them about the baby. They find the baby's mother and Longshot uses his powers to read the environment and then he learns the monsters had kidnapped the baby and had taken to a tower nearby.

There they finds the monsters and Spiral using the baby to open a portal that would take them back to Mojoverse. The wild beasts attack them and Longshot uses his luck to avoid all hits. Then he tries to get answers about who he was and from where he came, and because of that questioning his luck abandoned him. When he focus on the baby again he gets his luck back and reaches the top of the windmill. There he rescues the baby and the monsters get trapped at Earth without the portal.

At the end, Eliot call him Longshot because of his luck. Magog stays with him but doesn't tell him anything about his past.
