Alright here we are going to talk about the Lois Lane's that appeared in other media like movies and tv series.

Personally these are favorite Lois Lane's

1 Erica Durance

Yep, the Smallville Lois Lane herself. I don't care what the other fanboy's says, she's HOT!

2 Teri Hatcher

Well I don't know much about Teri's perfomance as Lois but she looks alright.

3 Margot Kidder

Personally I wish she was higher on the list. Despite the fact Superman movie aired in the 70's but she looks cool in it.

4 Kate Bosworth

Al.right, what to say...what to say. I haven't seen the movie but she doesn't look right. Maybe you guys can fill me in on what you think about her as Lois.

Kate Bosworth - Too young and just generally annoying

Erica Durance - really, really, really annoying... i really hate her, and no amount of bikini shots will change that lol

Teri Hatcher - she'd probably be a good Lois if she could act

I didn't like any of those portrayals of Lois. But I especially did not like Kate Bosworth, she didn't have the Lois feel to it if you know what I mean.

Yeah, Kate didn't feel right...

she's supposed to be a pulitzer winning journalist, who wrote about Superman's dissapearance 5 years ago, and according to Superman Returns that was 12 years after his first appearance...

so checking that Lois has been writing about Superman for 17 years...

there is no way Kate Bosworth's Lois could have been working for the Daily Planet for 12 years lol

I loved Teri Hatcher in the Lois role, although Erica is growing on me.

I don't see how Erica's annoying, her character is funny and she has great chemistry with the actors. Especially in this video I found on YouTube.

Erica is HOT! But doesn't hold a candle to Margot Kidder, she outranks everyone else, and Terri Hatcher made a decent Lois, looked very hot, and had the sassiness and attitude, but not quite on par or up there with Margot.

Erica Durance has seriously become THE Lois Lane for me - I'll admit, I loved her from the start. With all the dodgy restrictions DC and Warner put on the character in Smallville, it was pretty hard to even see her as a full character. But these past two/three seasons she's really grown into the best screen incarnation of Lois I've ever seen. She's smart, sassy, brave and beautiful - love her!
 
Teri felt really whiney for me.
 
Margot Kidder was great, but we didn't really see her as a character in any of those films. And that's why ED's works so well now - she (and the writers) have really fleshed out Lois in a way we've never seen before, can't help loving her.

I mostly agree with the list. Erica was the only actress that made Lois an interesting character to me to be honest, and that has nothing to do with her looks(she looks stunning however). I love her acting, and her over personality for Lois.

I have two favorite actresses who played Lois Lane - Teri Hatcher and Erica Durance.
Margot Kidder was ok for the oldschool Superman.
And Kate Bosworth just doesn't feel like Lois Lane.

Erica is the definitive Lois, IMO.

Margot sucked. She was to crass and rough-edged. The best Lois is yet to come.

so far my favourite is Dana Dalany from the DCAU second to me is Margot Kider andI really don't care what anyone says cause I don't think she sucked in the role. Kate Bosworth however has to be my least favourite, she's whiny, irratating and boring on screen and I find its not just the script but I think she's a miscast cause she's not really that good in the role. I have yet to checkout Erica Durance and Terry Hatcher

@Knightwing: I don't think anyone will argue with you on whether or not Erica Durance is hot, because we all agree that she's hot.

But if we're counting animation, the Lois Lane from Superman TAS was the best! I grew up watching her and the show has such a faithful adaptation of Lois: Beautiful, smart, clever, and daring.

Erica Durance is my number 1

Amy Adams is my number 2

Terri Hatchee is my number 3

Terri Hatcher, then Dana Delany.

Hatcher and Adams are the best.

With Durance they took advantage of her appearance and made her sort of a slut. She got better in the last season or two but still nowhere near the other two.

Erica is my favorite, I love her sassyness, but to be honest she's kind of a slut

@matrix27: how was she a slut? She had like one date with Aquaman and a serious relationship with green arrow until he messed it up. Neither of those guys even knew each other at the time, or at least she didn't know they knew each other. After that she dated and married her best friend. 2 serious relationships and one date doesn't make her a slut. She was just REALLY hot

Erica Durance, her being a longtime friend of Clark made sense to me. I was still disappointed that Clark had to reveal his SID to her.
