DC comics relaunched Lobo twice previously in the New 52. The dreadful one in Deathstroke, written by 90's Rob. The one in Stormwatch too, which was a little more of a traditional Lobo.
Then the third attempt to New 52 Lobo. The skinny, younger emo Lobo. Twilobo, Emobo, Blue Jackman, take your pick. Such has been the scorn heaped upon this current incarnation. This isn't to say that everyone hates the new Lobo. Some like him. Others have pointed out that this newest Lobo harks back to his original Omega Men appearance. Which is a very tenuous claim, to me.
I could maybe, MAYBE just get on with the new girl-baiting Lobo, but for one crucial, brutal bit of editorial mandate. Remember the koud, crude Lobo that everyone knew, and a lot of people hated? The reason that we all post on this board in the first place? The Lobo that was DLC on that Injustice game? Yeah. According to DC now, he's an imposter. Not the real Lobo. This new emo-waif poser is.
THAT annoys the hell out of me.
