You get the new hot character that DC is clearly more interested in marketing, you get to keep the original to keep the fans happy, and it all still reflects what was happening before the new 52 but still with the twist that N52 seems to require...

I have tried really hard to give the new Lobo a shot and for the most part i like him. i like the personality but i hate the look. but "He had a job and a family" makes me HATE HIM. i've tried to be as open minded as possible but trying to give him a backstory that will make people pity him is not only gross but lazy ass writing. "He had everything he loved torn away from him so he became evil" is the most cliche' BS and it makes me sick. I will still buy these comics because i still collect everything Lobo, but i will try my best not to buy them from a comic store because i do no want to support DC in this.

You know, because of you avatar, I read this in Tim Daly's voice. As much as I personally dislike the new Lobo design, his voice + your post actually made me feel irrational. Like when Supes pulled out his inner Einstein in the cartoons and started explaining scientific concepts and stuff. It was... uncanny. But now imagine this; Tim Daly using the phrase "Lobo fanboys". Haha not a problem, I'm humbled you thought that about my post. Though I can definitely see why Lobo fans have problems with this interpretation of Lobo in the New 52. It's definitely not irrational to dislike the new Lobo if you're an old time fan of him, believe me.

Given that Supergirl easily beat Lobo in their fight coupled with Hawkman actually being capable of fighting evenly with Lobo, I can't say a New 52 Superman vs New 52 Lobo fight would be fair in good conscience. Superman is now much more powerful than Lobo in The New 52 even with the healing factor intact.

This is Fake Lobo, he looks like pre52 Lobo. The one above is the New52 Lobo and he is the real Lobo out to kill the Lobo from Deathstroke who is pretending to be Lobo.

@mangakid1995: Not exactly Pre-52 Lobo is the real Lobo in Pre-52. He doesn't exist in New52 and a Lobo that looks like the Pre52 is around pretending to be Lobo but in New52 Lobo is really the skinny guy above.

I never cared about Lobo pre-52 or post-52 but Bunn + villain is at least worth checking out at this point.

Lobo isn't really a villain... He's definitely out for himself but he's been known to fight on the side of the angels. I'd compare him more to Deadpool or John Constantine than an actual villain.

I love the classic Lobo ... but .. I'm sorry but the New Lobo has grown on me. I'm getting this new series. Cant wait.
