There has been talk of a new trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man and it's supposed to hit the internet later today. Because we don't like to wait, Apple was nice enough to release a couple shots of the Lizard (played by Rhys Ifans and some CGI).

This is the first show showing him in the actual lab coat. The previous glimpses in the trailers and the conceptual images showed him pretty much naked.

In the second image, it looks like Peter's going to need to get a new camera. Or maybe Lizard will return it since it does have his name labeled on it.

Keep an eye out for the new trailer which is also supposed to be in front of The Avengers, opening in the U.S. tomorrow.

Maybe the lizard wants to take a few self portraits, nice lab jacket. It's seems like the lizards tail is longer,than it was when he was shown in another clip.

The Lizard was always one of my favorite Spidey villains when I was a kid. Now I'm 40 and that same basic sentiment holds true. Lizard, Doc Ock, Gobby, Spider-man has a pretty iconic rogues gallery. Better than any other Marvel character in my mind, really only rivaled by Batman.

Of course I'm extremely biased since Spidey has been my favorite comic since I was 5 years old. :)

I've grown more hopeful of this the more I've seen of it. At first I didn't get Garfield as Parker at all but the trailers have won me over. Ifans is usually good too so I've got my fingers crossed.

Is it me or his face also more snoutlike then before? If so then this is a double plus!

his arm grows back when he changes to the lizard, that's why he was experimenting with the reptile dna, and I figure he'll have the lab coat on for a couple minutes and then spend the rest of the time barebacking it in scales.

Sweet the Lab Coat is back in action! I'm liking the look but I almost wish that the movie version looked a little more reptilian and a little less humanoid.

Well not specifically lizard like but reptilian in a velociraptor sense. A vaguely humanoid jurassic park raptor in a lab coat would be great.

In first image the man, whom the Lizzard is trying to kill, is another actor "Irrfan Khan".

It will be interesting to see why Lizzard is after "Irrfan Khan" and how are they connected.

Comments like this are why Marvel has basically released a million preview vids for The Avengers. As someone who has seen The Avengers three times, I can say they reveal WAY too much. If you absolutely know you're going to pay to see it, don't watch preview vids. Let the movie entertain you how it's supposed to.

No, Dr. Connors was missing an arm which is what led to his studying lizard biology (because of their ability to regrow lost limbs). So he creates a serum based on that research which regrows his arm, but accidentally turns him into a monster as well, hence the Lizard.

Really? Everyone is hyped up cause the lizard is wearing his lab coat? Thats like everyone being hyped up for dark knight rises cause batman is wearing his cape.

Cool beans. He actually looks a lot better in that image than I first anticipated. I think the earlier trailer had him looking a bit too much like a more lizard-y version of The Hulk.

If he stays truer to his comic incarnation, I'd be much happier with this adaptation.

Loving the fact that the lizard is the new villian. Hes different and not too many people know about him. Love how he is wearing the lab coat like in the comics, and although you dont get a solid look at at him, he looks promising. Also like how they are giving spidey his cartridge back instead of making the audience assume he can generate his own silk/webs
