missed this series when it came out, but have to recommend the trade based on the opening issue. i found a really cinematic opening that introduced the characters pretty efficiently. it mightve been a bit of a roll call treatment, or kinda like a conga line meet-and-greet. but the panels are tempered with hefty doses of action to lesson any fatigue. the main character has her own story too, which unfolds at a pace thats comparable to the readers, with a fun cliffhanger to close things out. if i had to compare, this gave me some Runaways thrills / with some X-Men team dynamics. a cast of all new characters is exciting in its own right of course. the setup seems desnse already and the tiny pieces of backstory sets quick tone. cant wait to get more info on the origins. dont quite know how the cast interacts with each other - based on this issue alone though. ive gotta assume that they function without many of the interpersonal glitches superheroes seem to battle around.
    also, they arent robots!..
