I think it would have been cool if someone in the starwars movies had a Black light saber. I think they were reallyslack in the whole color of the light saber thing. what do you folks think? or am I all alone on this one?

There wasn't suppost to be multi colors in the movies. The only reason Mace got a purple one was cause he is Mace Windu LOL.

The only Black Lightsaber to ever appear in the Star Wars continuity was in Knights of the old Republic 2 game, and was only available as a glitch over the Veridian Crystal if you have it and visit Korriban first...

as far as i'm aware no black one has ever appeared in any Star Wars continuity

it's basically what color crystal the Lightsaber's energy is focused through to create the blade...

Lightsabers use 3 focusing crystals, one of them for color, the other two focus the blade in different ways...

actually, i remember in one of the books a Jedi Master uses a gold blade... think she was a weapon master or something...

i'll dig out the reference for the RPG... sure it was a female as well, might have been the character that Bastila was based on

Yeah, a Black Lightsaber would of been cool in the Star Wars movies, but i would still prefer Green.

also on a separate note, a black lightsaber would be impossible, since black is the absence of colour / light in the EM spectrum...

the closest you'd be able to get would probably be a blacklight blade, but that would glow purple...

but without color, or light for that matter, it wouldn't be a lightsaber in the first place, hell, it would only cound as a really duff torch since it didn't emit any light...

but i fully understand where you're coming from, and yes, it would be a damn sexy lightsaber color lol
