The Lightning Bug was a villain who ran and enforced an extortion racket. While "collecting" money that a random joe owed him, he was found by Batman and Robin( Dick Grayson and Damian Wayne). While frantically and desperately trying to escape he jumps across fire escapes crash landing into an apartment. When he walks into the hallway, he discovers two mysterious figures in the distance down the hall. Immediately trying to plead his case, he soon realizes that the two are not Batman and Robin but rather unknown characters. Scarlet cuts his throat and while bleeding is shot out of a window by the Red Hood just after stating "let the punishment fit the crime". He lands on a car and is presumed dead.
