Transformed

Heather Cameron lived a normal, quiet life in Surfer's Paradise in Australia with her brother, Davis Cameron (Slipstream), working as a lifeguard. Unbeknownst to the two of them, their father was a crime lord. Upon his death, his enemies sought out the Cameron siblings and tried to kill them. With the assistance of X-Men Storm and Neal Shaara, they were able to survive the attack. Heather and Davis joined Storm's group, the X-Treme X-Men, and Heather started a romantic relationship with Neal.

On one of the team's missions to space, Heather's appearance changed to resemble the Shi'ar species, including special cranial markings and feathers that are specific to Shi'ar royalty. This led her to believe that she was born from Shi'ar heritage, namely from her mother. Davis couldn't handle the fact that his sister and possibly himself were half-alien, and he ran away from her and the X-Treme X-Men. Heather and Neal went off in search of him.

Heather eventually returned as a part of the X-Corporation, working out of the Singapore branch with Neal. In the aftermath of M-Day, though, the X-Corporation was disbanded. Heather currently lives at the X-Mansion.

Powers

Lifeguard has the ability to detect danger in the immediate area and change her physical appearance and abilities to deal with the situation. She can't actively control the evolve part of her powers.
She can only evolve in order to save someones life, for example grow wings in order to save someone falling to death. And then the evolving happens automatically without her being able to affect it, she can't switch wings for teleportation if her body decides wings is the best option.
However she can immediately use the wings without needing to actually learn how to fly.

She is half Shi'ar and half human.
