Review: Legion of Super-Heroes #4
Sooo what is the better Legion story to read, this one? Or the Adventure Comics one?
I am a little confused at why exactly there are two ongoings for Legion right now, but I'm a pretty big LoS fan. For this storyline, it sounds I think Superman and the Legion of Superheroes would be the best place to start. It's the storyline by Johns that introduced Earth-man as a character.
Good point about the recommendations. Action Comics #858-863 needs to be checked as well, since the Volume starts right after those events and helps with the stuff going on in the first issues with Earth Man. The plot on this one sounds really good. I'd love to see some Darkseid action (doubt it though) cause I'm starting to miss that ugly face.
" @Bobby X: Adventures Comics tells stories from the early days of the Legion(from issue #12 and on). This volume of LOS picks up from Action Comics with Superman and the LOS like you said, dealing with "current" events. "
Ah I see, I think this is the storyline for me then. Thanks

I started reading Legion books back in the late 70's. (wow I'm telling my age) But I've loved them ever since.
Dunno if I'd call the Legion a cult classic. Back in the 80's they rode shotgun on the sales chart with the New Teen Titans, hence having LSH and Tales of the Legion. I think it's all right to have a story that appeals to older and/or more knowledgeable fans, not everything has to be geared to sucking in that brand new reader.
