Cosmic Boy is losing his control on the Legion of Super-Heroes. He confronts Brainiac 5, telling him that he wants constant communication between them. Brainiac 5 taken that order to allow every Legionniare to hear Cosmic Boy, especially when he breaks down to Sun Boy and explains how fragile the Legion is now. This causes the Legion to all fight each other, taking either Cosmic Boy's side or Brainiac 5's side. The fighting stops when Brainiac 5 reveals that Cosmic Boy's home planet, Braal, is seceding from the United Planets and all Braalians not on the home planet in six hours will be forever exiled.
