I feel Like I'm being kidnapped.

Wowzer. I just gotta say, Paul Levitz just doesn’t know how to disappoint when dishing out some Legion. Seriously, if I were the smoking kind I would have lit one up right after reading this. Wow. So let’s take a look at Legion of Super-Heroes #8.

We open up on the planate Zardon, a medi-centre to be precise, where 4 super powered criminals are raiding the centre looking for the “gold master”, a COMPUTO circite lent to the centre by legionnaire Braniac 5. As the four locate the “gold master” their suddenly taken aback by an invisible foe as Jaques Foccart, aka Invisible Kid (number 2) jumps into action. The only catch is, he seems to be taking these 4 fellons on solo! Will Invisible Kid be able to take down these 4 villains single handadly without any aid from his fellow legionnaires? Pick up Legion of Super-Heroes #8 to find out.

My opening paragraph pretty much sums up what I need to say about Levitz and the story being told here. It dose not disappoint. We get the seeds planted for the revival of and old foe (which, if you look at the title you might catch onto), we get to see legionnaires act as individual heroes (not, strictly in the group/team) take down the bad-guys, showing how powerful these characters are individually and thereby emphasizing the power that they have as a team (and as a knock on effect of that how powerful their foes are) and we get to see the 3 founding legionnaires happy and having a good time for once, all together (letting it all their troubles pour away). Overall both the stories shown through this issue were great (even to the point where I forgot that it was 2 stories and read it as one. Brilliant). Both Steve Lightle and Yildiray Cinar bring great art works to both stories, and really go into detail on the characters and the locations. Also in the wake of what was mentioned in “Legion Lost #8” that seemed to put a sad tone on one of the most beloved relationships in the Legion with not explanation why (which has always been a good thing about legion, showing us why the dynamics of a relationship change) It’s great to see Levitz being back another relationship, in possibly the best way ever (lets just say our man with a magnetic personality never lost his moves in Istanbul). Great stories, great artwork and damn fine colours by Javier Mena to top it all off. This is why I love the Legion.

Overall I’ve got to give Legion of Super-Heroes a full 5/5. There was nothing that I could find wrong with this issue. It’s fun, full of action and light heartedness and also spotlights our first 3 legionnaires which is actually quite rare given their growths as characters. So once again, Legion Of super-Heros #8

THE GOOD: I really like the art in both stories. The first one we get Steve Lightle back drawing some Legion action. I really like the way he makes the character expression. Then we have pre-Flashpoint artist Yildiray Cinar. He's back because he was promised the chance to draw a story with Lighting Lad and his city he created Istanbul. (Which is super cool) The story is fantastic and reminds me of the old Legion. He get a plot to bring back a deadly group of foes. We also have Lighting Lad and S...
