HISTORY
POST CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS
The Legion Academy was developed by the Legion of Superheroes as a viable option for young galactic wide applicants do develop their powers and confidence in a healthy structured school.
The Academy stands on Old Montauk Point off the coast of Metropolis to allow a safe haven for both students and faculty. The tower and adjacent center contains classrooms, training rooms, a library, mess hall,labs, and housing for the students and faculty.
Several Legionnaires originally were students,having successfully been taught at the academy who would later become members of the Legion. The few that passed on to be Legionnaires are Dawnstar, Starhavens winged tracker, Magnetic-Kid, younger brother of Cosmic Boy, and Tellus, amphibian mentalist.
The Academy is overseen by reserved members of the Legion Bouncing-Boy and Duo-Damsel who instruct the young students. Wildfire is a regular visitor and a steadfast supporter of the Academy's. Often arguing the point that future Legionnaires should be recruited from the school.
The current student body includes Laurel Kent,Power Boy, Shadow Lad, Comet Queen, Lamprey, Northwind, Crystal Kid, Mandalla, Visi-Lad, and Myg the new Karate Kid.
