Layla Miller
Character » Layla Miller appears in 542 issues.
Originally a key figure in the House of M, Layla Rose Miller is a mutant and member of X-Factor Investigations. She is famous for her catch phrase "I know stuff", which stems from her comprehensive knowledge of future events. She recently married James Madrox like she always claimed would happen.
Layla and Jamie
I'm not crazy about them as a couple, but there are worse pairings... But Madrox has had his pick of women in the last few years. For someone who doesn't like to commit to anything, he sure flirts a lot ;)
You'd think. But I guess after everything, they're beyond it. She was certanly mature even when she was a kid and then after everything that happened to her in the future, maybe Jamie is able to see past her as a kid?

"eh, I don't know; I feel like it would be kind of weird for him. We'll see, I guess
I think if this were non-powered people things would be different but like it or not different rules apply to superpowered couples. Thats how its remotely acceptable for Kitty Pryde and Colossus back in the day or Archangel and Husk in more recent years. And its not like he was a parent to Layla, he just knew her while she was a kid. Totally different. Younger super powered people are always forced to be more mature then their non-powered counterparts so you can't really impose the same rules and restrictions on the relationships.
I liked it better before the aging and consummation because it was a really unique relationship... unrequited certainty of their romantic destiny for one and platonic affection and tolerance of said certainty by the other. It made for a cute dynamic not frequently seen in American comics.
But, I suppose it's nice that they didn't leave it dangling forever.
Honestly, I don't mind either way. I like the pairing but at the same time it's not the best thing ever. I do like Layla, though, for the most part so I'm okay with it (at least, once she ended up in X-Factor)
