Overview
The great heroes of the marvel universe are vanishing without a trace! What has happened to Spider-Man, the Thing, the Scarlet Witch, Captain America, and the rest of the MU's heavy hitters? Spider-Girl, the fantastic five and a-next must join forces with today's superstars to uncover the answer – and the trail leads to a major Avengers villain! Does the presence of the Watcher signify the end of this age of heroes?
The Avengers inspect possible suspects for the missing heroes. The Fantastic Four investigate Mole Man (only to find him dead) and the X-Men conduct their own investigation. After following Wild Thing's sense of smell, she, Captain America, Thunderstrike, Captain America and Spidergirl enter Asgaard through a dimensional gateway. They end up in Asgard and are attacked by a troll army. Toward the end we see that the one responsible for the disapperances is Loki, the God of Mischief.
