November 2009's DC Nation had a "To Do" list for 2010.  About halfway down the list was the entry "Kill Lady Blackhawk".  My heart sank when I read it.  Zinda is one of my favorites.  She may not be an A-List character, but she is a refreshing character that provides a unique perspective on the present.  I can only assume DC is trying to expunge all record of Zero Hour, and unfortunately that includes Lady Blackhawk.  DC needs to stop killing their good characters everytime they run out of good ideas and, I don't know, maybe try a little harder.  Thre is room in the DCU for Lady Blackhawk.  The JSA, maybe? 

This was a running joke. At a comic convention a fan asked Phillip Tan if he could do anything with Lady Blackhawk in 2010. He joked and said, "We could kill her"

Now I feel like an idiot.  Guess that's what I get for only being a casual reader.  Anyway, thanks for clearing that up.

Excellent news!  Birds of Prey is re-launching in 2010 with Gail Simone and Ed Benes at the helm, and Lady Blackhawk on the team roster!
