Kull the Destroyer issue 26 is pretty much an issue-long setup for Kull, Ridondo, and Laralei crossing into another world to seek the crown of the city of Torranna in the country of Grondar. If Kull can retrieve the crown, which was stolen by a monstrous creature years before, he will supposedly be declared ruler of the country, and have an army at his disposal to once again challenge Thulsa Doom for the Topaz Throne of Valusia.

Though there's more set-up here than pay-off, it's a decent enough in-between battles kind of issue (there's still a skirmish with palace guards for those that must have some action). The artwork is well done, and the writing hints at some more sinister behind-the-scenes doings, while setting up the primary story summarized above.

Speaking of summarizing - the opening pages of this comic summarize events up to this point, so this would be a reasonable jumping-on point for those new to the title, though why one should want to start so close to the end is questionable.
