I hope it's a werewolf kryptonite. Think about it. It enhanced his sense of smell greatly. It probably unleashes the inner beast in kryptonians. On Krypton it could've, like, been used to tame their pets or something...

Yeah I just read the Superman/Batman issue 46 today. I saw the Silver Krytonite and how it made Supes see everyone like there were Toon Disney Characters. But Superman was stupid here, he was there with Phantom Stranger and Batman. And Bats tells him - Dont touch it. And the fool still touches the Krytonite talking about, how beautiful it looked.
