Does his strength make sense?

I know he is listed as 2 tons but by feats shouldn't he be much stronger by this considering how he can challenge Spidey in a physical contest?

I think it does, as he would be roughly as strong as a gorilla. Spider-Man would be five times stronger, but Kraven is very nearly as fast; when you combine this with his healing factor, fighting skills, and ruthlessness, he gives Spidey a great fight every time. Also consider that even against other superhumans, Pete still holds back.
