Korak GK22
Mike Royer’s artwork is pretty good. In addition to providing his usual fan service by being a walking shirtless scene, Korak becomes a dude in distress in this story. Investigating a train designed to look like a dragon, Korak follows too closely. The curious jungle boy is knocked unconscious by falling debris caused by the train’s motion. Soldiers emerge from the train, take the youth prisoner, return to the train, tie him to a chair, and demand that he lead them to a giant, lion-shaped meteorite in the jungle. In this story, Korak comes across as a handsome boy scout in a leopard-skin loincloth. He has a good heart that propels him into action, often impetuously. Fortunately, he has strength, agility, and intelligence to back it up. In this story, he helps save a village which worships the lion-shaped meteorite.
