Origin
The Dutch scientist, Ulysses Klaw, had developed a weapon that could turn sound into solid objects. Upon completeting the weapon, he needed only one thing to finish it. Vibranium. He knew the only place to find it was in Wakanda, Africa. Gathering a band of men, he set out to find a sample of it for his gun. When T'Chaka would not give Klaw the sample he wanted, he ordered for his men to kill T'Chaka. When T'Challa (the current Black Panther) saw this act, he grabbed Klaw's gun, and blasted his right hand off.
Klaw had his gun attached to his hand, and later acquired his Vibranium on the black market. He came back to Wakanda ten years later, and attacked Black Panther and the Fantastic Four. Klaw was beaten, and he jumped into a sonic converter. He gained his powers, becoming living sound. He again attacked, but was beaten by Mr. Fantastic. He had equipped himself with Vibranium knuckles, and was hauled to jail.
Klaw was rescued by Crimson Cowl, and joined the Masters of Evil in a plot to capture the Avengers. They were successful, although they later escaped, and defeated Klaw.
In the series "Secret Wars" Klaw was resurrected and given the power to make real things out of sound, not just images. At the end of that series, he was presumed dead.
The rare metal Vibranium can nullify Klaw's sonic powers.
